Description
The Blue Heron landed just a few feet away from the Alligator on the bank edge of the Myakka River, in the Myakka River State Park, in Sarasota, Florida. It seems like the Alligator is sleeping, or too tired to budge. There were several Alligators in that area at the time of this photo. None of them seemed to be too interested in the bird. Nature is quite interesting.

Hopefully the heron is faster than Mr. Gator. I always hold my breath when I see them so close. Great shot at my favorite state park. l/fv
